DSA (Disabled Student Allowance) & Aim Higher
Our trainers are experienced in working within the context of the DSA scheme and provide a one-to-one tuition service, onsite, at your own workstation wherever that may be. This enables us to best inform the student on their setup and enables us to address any specific issues that their may be. Also, we can ensure that the various items work well together and that the system is organised around your needs.
Students & Their Requirements
As we understand the demands of University timetables and workloads tuition sessions are done at your convenience. We can provide our services to you at time that suits, even in the evening or at weekends.
We are experienced in working with students who have a wide range of needs and abilities, from learning difficulties, (eg dyslexia/dyspraxia), to mental health conditions or physical impairments; we don’t judge, we teach.
Our way of working enables us to clarify the nature of how the difficulties impact on the student’s study. Consequently, this allows us to tutor in a way that takes these factors into consideration, ensuring that tuition is both sensitive and informed; necessary techniques can be adapted appropriately to each individual’s needs to ensure that the student understands what is necessary.
Our experience in working with students in Higher Education means that we understand the specific requirements of the academic setting. We are able to demonstrate academically informed strategies that will enable students to cope with the requirements to produce work of the high standard expected.
